Challenge #4

For this challenge, I was supposed to delete one of my most used apps for a day or more. Unsurprisingly, this app for me was TikTok.

I spent a good 2 hours on TikTok per day on average. This is usually in the morning, during meals, before bed, or just rotting on the couch.

I didn’t want to delete the app, as I would lose all of my drafts I had, so I did not go on it for 24 hours.

I personally didn’t experience any anxiety without this app, but I did have the urge to go on it many times and was disappointed when I couldn’t. Anytime I was sitting down or on my phone for an extended period of time, I wanted to go watch TikTok, I found myself replacing it with Instagram reels, but not to the extent I had used TikTok. I honestly had a pretty positive experience this day. My screentime had gone down to about 3 and a half hours, I went to the gym, I did homework, I went on a walk, and went to bed at a decent time. I felt good, productive, and refreshed.
